Port Louis, 9 December 2025 –With only a few days left before the submission deadline, IBL is inviting Mauritian non-governmental organisations to submit their projects for IBL On The Move 2026 – Special Disability Edition, an edition dedicated to promoting the well-being, autonomy and inclusion of people living with disabilities.

IBL On The Move is a unique moment of sharing: a sporting, friendly, and deeply human gathering where participants from all walks of life come together around a cause that helps move Mauritius forward. True to its signature, “Moving for a cause,” the event reflects the belief that a simple a – running, walking, taking part – can become a powerful driver of solidarity. Guided by a strong commitment to transparency, IBL On The Move stands out by ensuring that 100% of registration fees and donations collected are donated to the chosen NGO, supporting an essential cause each year with lasting impact.

The 2026 call for projects is aimed at NGOs working to improve the quality of life of people living with disabilities and wishing to propose innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions. Expected projects may focus on access to education and training, the development of economic independence, or support for families in caring for their children. The programme provides estimated financial support of Rs 1 million, while all funds raised during the event will directly contribute to the implementation of the selected project.

Over the years, IBL On The Move has supported essential causes ranging from child protection and education to women’s empowerment, the fight against social exclusion, and social reintegration. Organisations like Pédostop were able to intensify their support for victims, raising nearly Rs 900,000, while Centre d’Amitié strengthened its work with young children through a contribution of nearly Rs 700,000, both seeing their impact on the ground significantly increase.
